The Habitats and Wildlife of Mass Audubon Sanctuaries ~ October 8, 2016-January 8, 2017

Mass Audubon works to protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. The vast network of the Mass Audubon Wildlife Sanctuaries encompasses more than 35,000 acres of conservation land and is home to more than 150 threatened and endangered native species. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the very first Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuary. Fast forward to 2016 and there are 56 wildlife sanctuaries to explore.

In celebration, 13 artists have shared a scenic view or intriguing close-up of the habitats or wildlife found within one of Mass Audubon sanctuaries. We encourage you to visit a new site this season and enjoy the nature of Massachusetts.

Artwork may be purchased by visiting the Gift Shop.  Proceeds support local artists and The Blue Hills Trailside Museum, Milton, MA.
